Noble Motorsport - Chesterfied
Discussion
I popped in this evening for a chat with Pete, got my car booked in for a rolling road tune in the near future (its near my work so bonus). May go intercooler and re-map whilst im there if all checks out OK.
Anybody got experience with the Noble Motorsport intercooler , any opinions ?
Whos is the 53 plate 3R ? Imaculate, totally stunning, I think Pete said it was his ex car , or I was confused.
Anyway , he showed me a dyno printout - 493 BHP !!!! bet that shifts ! I presume thats at the flywheel though.

I had quite a lot of work done there last year. New exhaust, stainless manifolds, remap, fuel pump, intercooler, service,MOT, and some other odds and ends. It cost quite a lot but the car is much quicker with the power/torque graphs more linear. Peak power was 356 and on a 2.5. So I think thats as much id want to put through the gearbox and diff. I will be going back for a service next month probably. The only problem I found is the exhaust tips they use seemed to taint very quickly.

tainted tips ? Thats why you have a dremel mate ! Dont talk to me about tips, the neighbours think im mad :

Yes I'd read a few similar thoughts from other PH'ers.
Is anybody running one of there maps who can share set up ?

Had my 3R upgraded there a few years ago.
It did improve the power etc considerably but.....
The intercooler they supply is maybe not the best that can be used IMO, my one is now laying unused in my garage,as I swapped it for better. The map is good though, power not as quoted though on various other dyno's.

Thats interesting, Just had my turbos refurbed and a H&S ehaust fitted, car will be mapped over the next couple of days so I'm interested to see the power/torque output. What boost are you running?
Bondy
How does the dremel work then? Does it just polish off the surface marks on the exhaust? That looks quite impressive! I dont know the boost pressure to be honest! Its standard I imagine is it 0.7-0.8? Im showing my lack of knowledge to be honest. The peak power on the graph shows 353BHP at 6541 RPM. The torque peak is 300lb/ft at 4794 RPM. All i know is it feels a lot quicker, I had a griffith 500 not long ago with 340 BHP and it feels similar (obviously the power delivery is totally different) I dont really know much about whose rolling road produces the more accurate results.
On a slightly different note, and maybe to save another thread, I dont suppose anyone knows how to change the flasher unit for the RHS rear indicator? Its not the bulb as I checked, when I put it on it just flashes quickly with the front two indicators only. I used to think this was to tell you a bulb had blown? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
