Tyres and lack of them.

What a mission trying to find tyres, every one you want you cant get.

Corsas no chance, toyo 888s on back order maybe Oct, S002 can get 3. I want them for road use only and want grip in the wet and dry. so have found some Kumo V70s anyone know these tyres are they any good for a Noble? They have very good reviews on par with the 888s am tempted.

My other other thought was the Eagle F1 asymetric any ideas anyone?

Any help is badly needed

Long story but I have Vredstein Ultra Sessanta's on and they have been exceptional in the wet not too good on track but generally very good and weren't expensive.

Me too, went to buy Goodys but ended up with the Vreds instead. 235 fronts & 275 rears were £540 fitted at Elite with metal valves.

Had the same problem with tyre stocks and couldnt get 265, 275 or 285 Toyo 888's so fitted 295 Toyo 888's. They do fit on the rear and seem to give more grip in the dry but not so good in standing water by going up a size. Have you thought of the new Toyo R1R's they are pitched between road tyres and track tyres and people I know who've fitted them think they are great for both wet and dry roads. The only thing with the R1R's is the largest size currently available is 265.

Thanks guys just had a look at the performance fig of the Vredstein Ultra Sessanta's and they are on par with the Kumos V70 so a good choice me thinks for road use. £540 full set sounds great value. Not priced the kumos yet.

Rob did 235 and 275 give you any probs with clearance front or rear?

Rears have miles of room to go wider but with the 235s on the front there is very slight rubbing on full lock from the trailing edge when steering. Davidmt said he has fitted 5mm spacers to overcome this but TBH so far I just steer a little less when/if I hear it.

Seems like I cant get 235/275 in the Vredstein Ultra Sessanta's now only 225/265 from elite tyres so be it, being fitted next wk.

Do you know that for sure, have you phoned them mate?

They're showing as 'in stock' on the website and you can buy online to be fitted there if you wish

Yes spoke with Roger they have the rears no fronts.
They show as in stock but he cant find them.

first post here. Just bought blue m400. Its currently got toyos all round and we ( team buy) want a set of road tyres( that can cope in the wet) + another set of wheels

Need a gentle steer in the right direction for parts and suppliers, no pun intended...

Tyres are not easy to find it seems, I have just bought some Vredstein Ultra Sessanta' for road use only which were recommended to me, not sure what there like as there being fitted next week. The Toyos R888 are very good track day tyres and most of us use them.
If you sign up to Wiki Noble on here it has a search engine for all the parts with part numbers should help you find what you want, also the guys here are very helpful with any probs you may find.
Good luck with the Noble great choice of car esp the M400.

Sorry mate don't know but I have just had a good quote from Bush tyres for 888 , don't know if they do kumos will see if I can find out .

Just got Wintrac's for the X5. Unbelieveable value, and yet I can't see any visible corners cut in either the design or the construction.

I think I'll give the Ultra Sessanta's a go on the Z4M which will be next, and then the M400 as I'm down to my last set of Corsas.

I ran PS2's and Ultrac Sessanta's on my Z4MC and tbh I didnt see a performance gap as big as the price gap.Very good in the wet as well

Well I have done a few miles on these Vredstein Ultra and can say they seem to be a very good tyre in the wet and very capable in the dry the only negative I can find is they follow the tram lines a little which I notice at the front but is only slight.

My Bridgestone SO2 this year have been great , coped with everything I have chucked at them , wonder how much more grip 888's would give me ???
