Hi guys,

I've got a 3R and need to replace the coil packs - car is struggling to deliver full power at high revs in this coler weather.

I've already replaced fuel pump + upgraded power feed to pump. Replaced spark plugs and gapped properly etc.

I saw on the FAQ mention of coil packs:
HT Leads - Magnecor HT Leads for 2.5 (ST200) 6087 (1st Generation Coil pack). £87 http://www.magnecor.co.uk/

But I've got a 3.0 2nd generation coil pack I believe.
Any suggestion where I can get them?
Is it calling Ford? Or is there an on-line company that can supply?

Let me know
Cheers
Kenny

I bought mine from ford at a cost of £39.95 when trying to diagnose a fault, part number is 029102 I think, or it may be Q5033452. I did put the correct part number on the wiki but it was removed for some reason? Hope that helps.

No probs, if you dont have any luck with the numbers I think my local ford man said they were from the maverick? Let me know if you dont get anywhere and I'll find the new coil I bought as it should have the numbers stamped on it.

Hi Jason - sorry to bring this subject back up, but i've been on holiday the last two weeks and not followed up on the coil packs.

Is your car a 3.0 or the 2.5?

Mines the 3.0 and if your the 2.5 is there a difference for the part number? I would have a thought yes as the design in different.

Let me know,
Cheers

Kenny, mines a 3L also. I've found the coil in the garage and it has these numbers stamped in the top

EE03A
1L8E-12A366-AB
2B2932

2.5l has HT leads not the on-spark plug coil.

Thanks Jason for the help.

Got parts ordered Friday delivered Saturday - fitted Saturday afternoon.

And car now running beautifully :-)

A happy Noble owner again,
Cheers
Kenny

PS. For the record, the Ford part number for the coil pack (for the 3.0l) is 5033452. And it is off a Maverick.
