Which bulb type is required for the front and side indicators on a 3. I understand that it is Land Rover lense, is this also true for bulb selection? and which model is the side repeator lense as wanting to update to clear.

kind regards

Does anyone know if the rear indicator bulbs are just standard ford mondeo mk2 saloon items? Mine has blown.

Yep, I'm going to consider the LED option for all those bulbs: Does anyone have a complete list of what bulbs are in the rear lights?

Can someone confirm as my car is not here the following.

Looking at the light at the rear drivers side: the top right is indicator and top left is reverse, bottom right and center is tail light and stop light. the one bottom left is Fog?

Going to order a complete set of LED ligths for the rear just want to check I have them right.

Cheers

Surely that won't help at all, because that's from the US forum where they use different (Hyundai Sonata) lights?

The owners manual does list all bulbs required although as I found it is not the most reliable. It quoted an H7 headlight bulb and I needed an H4 or 2. Failing that if you're bulb has blown take it out and have a look. The more you take those rear light clusters apart the better as they are terrible.

I don't have the car so can't check. Think I got it wrong though.

Bottom right is break and tail and the middle is just tail and the bottom left is Fog. But would like someone to confirm smile

I did this with the LED bulbs, one of the bulbs cant remember which has a positive earth in the Mondeo cluster which is ok if the bulb has a filament as the power will flow either way but in the LE(Diode) bulb it won't light so what I had to do was desolder the conections inside the bulb and resolder them the reverse way round so make sure you have a few spares. In my opinion because the plastic inside of the lens is dimpled it doesn't look a lot different not a mod I'd waste my money on again as I also ended up replacing the internal covers in the clam at £40 quide each as you cant get them off without busting them.

I never thought changing a bulb would be so complex but as I have a new unit here....

Housing marked as follows

Top two and bottom right - P21W
Bottom left - P21/4W
Bottom Middle - R5W

These are all taken off the new part as I haven't taken the one off the car yet.
