Finally sourced a 3R and took delivery this week. Much like my last one in indigo blue with a nice black/cream interior this time. Was originally looking for an M400 but they are hard to find so the 3R will do for now.

Wanted an M400 for the better seats. Must say 2 hours driving in 3R and my back was at breaking point. So I either need to get replacement seats or just wait for the right M400 to pop up.

Same questions I'm sure everybody asks:

1. Wing mirror adjustment. Drivers side is perfect and tight whereas passenger side won't adjust in all directions. Can this be easily fixed by a simpleton like me ?
2. Windscreen wipers. Stick part way through their cycle. Recommended blade/setup anyone?
3. Brighter lights please !!! Simple bulb change?

cheers in advance

Wing mirror can be done easily, the slider has probably come out, common problem as there are too fragile little plastic lugs that connect it to the mirror backing. Get a screwdriver prise the mirror sideways from the outer most part of the mirror towards the car, it will pop off, there is a knack to this, if you want more info go to the noble rossion forums and in search type in "tightening drifting wing mirrors"

Cant help on the windscreen wipers sorry, hopefully somebody else will be able to advise on this one, i changed mine to one 28" asymetric blade.

On ebay type in "noble m12" on there have have super bright led sidelights only £6.99 for two, but the main headlamps need a HID conversion which i got my mate Stavros to do for me. You can also opt for adding foglights as the picture below, but i later removed these due to them blocking air flow for the tunnel cooling mod, but they did add a lot of extra light.

Or just change the existing bulbs. H7 from memory for both main and dip. I plumped for brighter Bosch bulbs as they were the best deal I could find on the trade card £25 each on the shelf, £8 or something with the card. Fitting obviously very easy, but you will need to reseal the covers so leave yourself a couple of hours to do the job. I replaced the orange indicator bulbs with silvered bulbs at the same time.

Interested about the HID conversion, what kit did you order?

I'm sure i've tried upgraded bulbs before and it didn't make much difference.

Are the GT03R lights worse than the GT03 ones? just notice few people complaining of lights being dim and Ive done 35k in my car a lot at night in rain etc and never thought the lights were inadequate?

The bracket that holds the wiper has prob come loose... its held in place by the std screws that the cars held together with, I had lots of trouble with mine keep working loose and the wiper slowing at points on the screen, I ended up drilling the chassis and putting a bolt through it and its never come loose since.

sorry i got it the wrong way round for the wing mirror, prize it from the side nearest to the car outwards and it will pop off, use a large screwdriver.

I will ask Stavros when i go back over, i'm sure it is a generic conversion kit as he has converted a wide range of cars, but apparantly the kit is not a proper conversion, this is where it gets too technical for me, PeterGUk M500 knows how to do a proper conversion as he is very good with electrics, he has a garage in Barnsley, if you are interested let me know and i will Pm you his number, if not then i would just ask your local auto electrician.

Really? Interested to know how - I thought it wasn't possible due to the transmission tunnel.
Who did it ?

I have to confess it was first done by one of the lads at the Noble factory so I knew it was possible and he explained what he did.
I then purchased a new set from the factory but didn't get round to fitting them.
Grant (Funkybmx) spotted them at mine and also liked them so he got a set and fitted them almost straight away, so then he helped me do mine.

The tunnel was made smaller for a more central drivin position. Not cause the seats didn't fit. I thought of them seats for ages. Then steve tormented me waving his ones in front of me. And I had to have a set lol. Easy fit

Just to clarify, I was correct the first time. The 3R does indeed have H7s not H4s so the H7 kit from the link I added first is the correct kit (which is good as I have one on order!).

Ahh yes, that'll be it then wink The 2.5 & GTO3 only has 1 lamp per side so it makes sense. The 3R/400 has 4 H7 bulbs in total!
