OK so here goes :

Took car for a good run, full power through the gears to about 5th, slowed down, smoke in cabin !! Pulled over, popped rear clam and smoke coming from the rear turbo area, it stopped after a few minutes and after driving the car carefully for a while there is not evident problem ?

Im thinking possible culprits :

Something burning off the turbo, manifold etc etc. - Car had been parked up at East Mids airport all week whilst I was away.
Oil somehow 'got free' onto the turbo and burned off.
(More Serious)
Some wires / cables semi-melted together ?
A pipe has come off (no leaks though).

Any ideas ? As I said the car has been fine since, oil levels as they where.
A bit paranoid and slightly confused ? :-)

its very possible some fluid got onto the exhaust wrap on the front turbo... if it was parked at an airport it could have been soaked in the rain and thus will 'steam' when the exhaust gets hot and evaporates the water.

was the smoke white or dark? did it smell?

had one catch fire in that area , it was the wadding on the bulkhead between the turbo and the drivers seat think it gets contaminated by oil and fuel etc and goes up well!

NMS tell me nothing to major to report on the smoke, maybe a bit of oil from the turbo oil feed. Good news !

More likely to be the oil drain

Something I need to worry about? Any clips I should be replcacing or just continue to check the oil regularly?
Thanks
