I am sure lots of us suffer from this, but what is the main cause of the lights/general electrics dimming occasionally. Probably due to additional load when the fans cut in etc. So it's either a bad earth or supply. As it is a common problem there is sure to be a common remedy and this post could save me a lot of time.

Thanks

From mgbond on noble parts

"Flickering heads lights

The probable cause is an extremely high resistance in the battery wiring harness from the central junction box (under the bonnet) to the B+ terminal on the alternator. To rectify the concern an additional cable should be installed.

See Parts thread for part number of cable."
