Currently relocating (to near Goodwood!) so no access to the Noble this weekend, but as this is German cars - will I be able park in the paddock areas rather than the public car parks if I'm in an M5?
Yes! I take it you got the Portsmouth job?Air Support said:
Hi Simon
Yes indeed. Working in Portsmouth since mid September and living about 20 miles up the A3 so handy for Goodwood now.
Possibly see you up there on Sunday?

I'll definitely be there Sunday as a mate of mine has an AMG estate! It and he are nuts! I'm going in the Noble.

Good to catch up with the guys that came along, as always. AndrewM, Tony (no not in his Noble, it's hibernating), Nicksy and Steve. Chris (Coolchris) and Rob (AMGMerc) were on their way to attend but Chris had a prang - ouch (cosmetic only and hopes to back on the road in two weeks time..ish) but he's ok and Rob stayed to help him out.
See you on 5th December for 'Xmas Cracker' hopefully.

Sorry i could not make it i was coming up a hill when i saw a beemer pretty much stationary half way across my side of the rd going into a layby i braked but with the conditions my wheels locked up and i ended up spinning hitting his car in the process.Luckily rear driver side clam damage plus buggered up rear passenger wheel so cosmetic.rob (AMG merc)passed and stopped which was really kind of him he said us nobility have to stick together lol.Funny thing was he took my mrs down to the shop and when he came back he pulled into the lay by that plonker was going into and bugger me the car behind him ended up getting pranged from behind.I suspect my claim will get classed knock for knock but im 110% certain that it was not my fault these things happen and i hope to be back on the rd soon.Hope you guys had a good time at goodwood
Cheers chris

What a
start to what should have been a pleasant Sunday for Chris and Mrs Chris! Well, at least no one was hurt mostly GRP, eh?! And I was so close to bringing my Nob too and could have easily 'met' said bloke at the same spot being that I passed seconds after impact!
We should also thank the bloke who lives along the road for arranging a tray of tea via his wife and who also tried to get his son (a breakdwon truck driver) to come out. Funny thing too - if anyone knows the road down - north of Northchapel - and recalls a rusty old Volvo estate in the grass outside a house on the right (actually his house) well, that's his and he told me the story of why its been there for over 20 years - I recall seeing it there as a young man!!!
I did eventually arrive late at Gooders which was a small blessing as there was then space on the track and, being in 'The German', I got marshalled to a nice spot under the tower. Looked like we missed a great day - what with all the Porkers passing me on the other side of the road
Next time Chris...

sounds like you guys had a good time .......i wish Goodwood was not such a long way from me :-(
We'll have to arrange a meet for Supercar Sunday or Wilton House next year as they are both phenomenal meets. All kinds of exotica to feast on. You guys from further afield can always crash with me overnight as I've gto plenty of floor space - bring a sleeping bag (blow up mattress optional) bargain. If you want to bring your missus I can do one double bed! Food for thought.Si
