Hi welcome to the crazy club :-) plenty of options on exhausts ,Roush is very good but also very loud and very expensive , Hayward and Scott make a complete system and a self fit system both are good and not too loud , also a guy called Leon makes some very nice stuff as well . Tux
After the trouble my garage had when fitting the 2.5 exhaust from H&S I would recomend you take it to them for them to fit it. It is a nice exhaust though.Bondy
Other factors to consider are if you wish to fit it yourself or have a drive in drive out service... also tailpipe design and if you want full system including CATS.
I have a guy local to me who makes my exhausts and he fits the system as part of the price and is top quaility... he'd need the car for a week or so though but you can have any design tail you want

I used Leon at Alunox for manifolds and system.

Very pleased with the results.

And I also got to choose my own tailpipes, But sorry about the dodgy pic!

Hi. Have you had yours done!. Still looking for a full system with cats than can run 400 bhp. Only have a budget of around 2K. Thanks Roy

yes and I recently sold the entire system and had the guy make me an all new one for my single turbo setup.... my previous exhaust including high flow cats and flexis was in your price range, on low boost (0.9bar) my car ran 480bhp with this exhaust.andygtt said:

I only went over for the intercooler kit but just couldn't leave without the exhaust, very well made and exactly what a good exhaust should be. Now I just need to find the right car to put it on.Does the exhaust really make a difference to performance, or does it only come into play at higher desired output levels ? I would think as you try pump more air through the motor [ via boost ] the better flowing exhaust will help. I am no expert, but the standard exhaust looks pretty large to me. Each pipe flows for 1500cc only.
Im sure some of you really know your stuff and would give a 101 on exhausts.

std exhaust is poorly designed and made so yes in a Nobles case it can be worth quite a bit bhp (around 10%).Im sure some of you really know your stuff and would give a 101 on exhausts.
Metalman, just do what I did and bite the bullet and upgrade your 5 speeder to a 6 speeder and keep the great car you already have...

Roush is not noisy when new (so long as racing Cats are in situ). It's only after a couple of years that they become noisy, presumably having blown a lot of the wadding out. Looking at ways to repack. That system is just what I am looking for. Love the twin tail pipes!!

I can recommend Dave at Urban Racing (near Liverpool), he did a great job on mine and is very accommodating to changes and gives a quick turn around. very fair price too. will post pics up when i have worked out how to :-)
