My M12 lives in a garage which doesn't have power so I can't use a trickle charger. I'm just wondering how much drain the alarm / imboliliser has on the system and basically how long can I leave it for before the battery will be drained.
Have any of you left yours for 2 weeks, 3 weeks a month??? and had no problems? Thanks as always smile

What happens if you don't set the alarm or immobiliser?

If you don't lock the doors does it still use the battery?

About 3-4 weeks for me to, I think if you have a tracker fitted aswell that doesn't help the cause.

Good point, if you don't lock the doors, the imobiliser still arms itself, so I guess it will still use some power, but maybe not as much!

Mine goes flat very quickly, in the past in about a week.

It's a world of hurt if it does, as it sets the alarm off. Plus, you'll not be able to open the doors.

You could always disconnect the battery, you can fit a switch thing to make it easier.

Thanks for the link - for some reason the search function didn't seem to be working for me in advanced searches, but I will try not to repeat posts smile
