Power Steering Hose - HP

Hi all, my power steering high pressure hose has exploded under the front clam. I understand from searches this hose travels to the pump at the rear, is that the case?

Does anyone have a part no (I've searched Noble Parts and on here) and part no's for the low pressure hose too (might as well replace that)?

If the hp hose does go through the tunnel, is this a good oppurtunity to do the tunnel mod?

Just take to a local hydraulic pipe place and there make one about £30

If it is the one from front to back. There is some p clips along the balk head you have to un do to pull out. As well as few cable ties in the tunnel. Also just pulls out the the rack once you undone the one Allen key. And can also do tunnel mod then. Not that what your doing makes getting the panel out any easier . Hope that helps mate

Just be aware that you will need to reuse the hose ends as I don't think that they can be sourced separately as they are a Noble bespoke part and IIRC Noble want a couple of hundred £££s for the privilege. That information is courtesy of Matty (FUNKSTER). The power steering cooler (shiny thing at the front) is about £100. I had mine changed this year. If you PM him I think he managed to change his hose(s) without removing the floor panels!

Yes the power steering cooler has american threads??? not standard british any how.

How important is this cooler 'cos it is very small, I assume it is to keep the power steering fluid cooler thus not affecting the viscosity too much allowing for adequate circulation via the pump?

I can confirm that he's right on that ..... I make hydraulic hose's for a living

£30 to £40 quid is a pretty good guess on cost ... you can't rush cutting the old ends out, cos if you damage them your screwed ... full job usually takes me an hour

Steel braided hoses now fitted and car running a dream
Just had winter service, respray and lacquered all meshes, SS pipes installed in engine bay, rear tyres being fitted Monday (£380 for Eagle F1's - they've gone up) and I'm due new front disks & handbrake shoes. Expensive time Xmas
