Can anyone recommend an A3 region car wash with sponges with no gravel in them?! Not detailing or specialist valeting, just a good old fashioned, decent wash??.........or maybe a mobile service even?

Tesco on the A3 by New Malden - the Polish boys and girls work non stop so everything is well rinsed out!

Lol the sponges are the least of your problems.

Make sure they are not wearing jewlery or watches or the big chunky jacket zips which basically key the side of youre car, and one last thing they all mix truck wash in with the soap and trust me they have not a clue about mixture levels so will strip any last bit of wax from the paintwork and the nice shiny silver wheels go mat and dull
frown

I know this because
I had 5 hand car washes years ago and the staff, if I wasnt there did not care just wanted the job done asap.

mad

Put hot water in the bucket and youre hands will be fine wink

I'm often up that way in mine (well I will be when its back together smile).

I often visit American Golf/Range at shannons corner in New Malden (just past Halfords). they offer a nice quick simple car wash for £5 in the carpark while you shop smile

Just the ticket:

http://www.jttmot.co.uk/

cheap, friendly and they like my noble so much when it was running a bit rich because of a unplugged lambda sensor they just told me to go get it fixed and the retest would be free.

In fact whilst I was there everyone who had a problem they told them to sort the bits out and come back rather than fail them immediately. So they are definitely not the type that tries to fleece you.

I really do recommend them.

No .. MOT only.

For servicing I go to Bespoke (Trimar (aka noble London) (aka TVR London!))

OR you could go to Mole Valley - they would be closer - but not everyone has good things to say about them.

Whereas with Bespoke I have not heard a bad thing. I certainly don't have a bad word to say against them - they are efficient, friendly and they do a good job.

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time and they are happy to work around me. Whereas the only time I rang MV as I had a small problem that needed to be sorted out quickly - they told me they were full and could not book me in for another week.

Bespoke on the other hand tell you to come round any time, they are happy to have a quick look if it is small they do it straight away, if it is a bigger problem you just leave the car there and they drive you to the train station.
