Near side drive shaft

How do u get it off. Hub is off just can't pull it out of gearbox. Is there a trick to this.

ITS A bh ....... .....it just pops out , i used 2 tyre leavers and a small gemmy bar but it made me swear !!! easyer if you get another set of hands as well !!

I use a long prybar to pop it out. If you're taking off both drive shafts, remove the right side one first (it should slide right out), then you can use a hammer and drift to knock out the left one.

Do u mean stick a bar through the hole in gearbox

If I'm just removing the left driveshaft, I pry it out of the tranny with a long prybar. You need to use kind of a sharp jerk on the prybar to pop the c-clip that holds the driveshaft in place out of its seat.

If both are coming out, remove the right driveshaft (along with the intermediate shaft) first - it just slides out. Look into the hole where the shaft used to be - you should be able to see the end of the left shaft. Put a punch through the hole onto the left shaft, give it a whack, and the left driveshaft should pop out. Be careful not to damage the splines or mushroom the end of the shaft - I use a big drift, positioned carefully in the center of the shaft.

got it out in the end but think ive broken my finger in the process.
