I make my own
6mm thick black shiny plastic off ebay.
Takes half an hour to make two if you have a template.

They are sacrificial and I have have busted 4 or 5 in the past getting on and off ferries and touching curbs etc, so worth buying the material and making a batch ready for the enevitable.

I do the same but the guy cuts them to a dxf file i send him so they come pre cut smile

Just need the edge smoothing as I had to draw it in very small lines.

Can email the file to anyone that wants it. Think it cost about £30 delivered.

Send me the dxf file and I'll sort it out and resend to you.

Then I could use it and get some cut for me! I will go for the bommerang split style .. is that what you have?

Thanks

Will do mate, I did ask the drawing office to have a go at smoothing it out and I think they improved it but its still not completly smooth.

I'll email it over.

Really? What types of drawings do they do?

Perhaps it is because I never draw straight lines? It is an easy 2 second job ..

OK now I am done any pointers in where to get it cut?

Carbon Fibre sheet or Acrylic?

Thanks Bondy!

It has to be carbon fibre. It would be rude not to.

There is a guy on ebay that sells acrylic in 6mm black. If you email him and say you have a file and that he has supplied them before he will cut them out for you. around £30 delivered and look fine.

I allways have two sets so if one breaks I have a spare already smile
