Wow I used the horn on my M12 this afternoon - not quite sure how I would describe the noise that came out, but it wasn't the noise I was expecting laugh Are they all like this (the noise a horn might make in a 5 year olds dinky toy car)?

Think I will definately have to get that upgraded!

yeah, mine sounds like a wet fart. Using it if someone were to pull out infront of me would just be embarrassinghehe

Hahaha it's more of a Pharf sound isn't it, it's pathetic I usually have the window down just incase I need to use the horn I stick my head out and shout beeeep beep it has a much better effect than the effort fitted to the nob! Quite a few have gone down the nautilus horn route sold in halfrauds and online, must get round to ordering mine.

Get a Stebel Nautilus. I got 2 (two!!) of them in my old Volvo.
Only downside is you can't really honk to tell the driver in front of you that the light have been green for the last two minutes. Well you can, but it really is loud...

You're right, some complete d*ck puled out in front of me causing me to slam my brakes on hard, as I hit the horn, I was so embarrassed I think everyone looked at me as though to say "what was that noise"??? laugh

Also have a Nautilus.

One tip I was given before getting it a few years ago was to mount it pointing downwards rather than facing forward as apparently they are prone to getting water and crud in them which leads to you needing a new Nautilus. If you face the horn bit down, it prevents stuff getting inside it.

Are these horns easy to fit as looking to do a straight swap or do you have to run new wires from the batery with a serperate relay??

Straight swop as far as I recall.
