Helper springs?

My car runs quite low, and it's on Nitron shocks, when I jack it up, and the suspension is at full droop, the springs leave the top cap by about 40mm should I put some 4lb helpers in there to keep the spring retained? What yours like?

I have Ohlins & use helper springs for exactly the same reason.

I'll order some!
If you have a longer spring it will increase ride height, platforms have 10 mm before they bottom out, so they should just fit.

If the springs can dislocate on jacking up then they can do the same on large bumps etc and this in some instances is pretty dangerous. Do the Nitrons do this out of the box or did you change something and it happens now?

If its a std kit from Nitron ask them to supply the helper spring or change the shocks for ones the correct length for free.

Rears too, however whenever you drop it off the jack they slot straight into position so I don't think it's too much of a problem if a little inelegant.

I've only purchased the car recently and they were like this, car history says noble motorsport fitted them. I've not noticed any strange handling traits, but I've not had it on the track yet, Cadwell Park's notorious 'mountain jump' might cause a problem.
Do you guys get through the MOT ok as I thought it was a failure to have them dropping away when jacked up? ( don't want to have to get it corner weighted every year because I have to wind them up)
