Anyone know what size speakers in the car?
Discussion
Don't know, but I've just fitted some 6"x9" ones in speaker boxes behind the seats. I took out the Sony Xplode CD autochanger and the standard Sony Head Unit and put in a head unit that plays new-fangled SD cardsmijigs or USB Stickmabobs. It sounds much better, now all I need a baseball cap, worn backwards ( oh, and some of those ace blue light things on my windscreen wipers ( whatever the f
k they are for ! ) ).

Did you get a remote control with it?

When I got it home and opened the box, I thought "Oh no, it has a different connector block on the back to the Sony one". But, delving on the box further I found a handy converter connector. So it was just a straight swap, only took a few minutes. It took a bit longer to wire in the new rear speakers.
speaker needs to be a set size due to the recess that they sit in... if you are brave you can cut this out but you will need to sound deaden the inside of the door IMHO.
I stuck components in mine and cut the door to fit a tweeter, speaks are the weakness in the cars stereo and fitting decent ones makes a massive difference.

these are similar to the oines I put in but probably not the correct size, but you get an idea
