That is twerlie, although 171 is on the dial so more like 160 ish. I surprised as he is running around 425bhp so thought it might get a bit more?

Really?
I know I've checked my speedo against GPS and it's pretty much spot on - not the normal +10% reading which is normal for type approved cars.
Just curious if anyone else has checked their speedo accuracy?
Conrad.

That depends where the red line is set....
Looks like he hit 7000rpm in fifth gear and around 6650rpm in sixth. Whats the maximum safest red line.

It was me...... I only managed 171mph that day due to the wet/foggy conditions but 176mph was my best on a dry hot day.
I managed to get a wheel spin at over 120mph which was interesting!

Because it was fking cold that day and at vmax you're only in the car for a few minutes at a time so i couldn't be bothered to take it off!

The last VMax I went to I had 164 on the speed traps; my GPS on my phone said 163. My speedo needle was a bit unstable at that speed, but was just over 160, i.e. the speedo was pretty much spot on.

164 is with 375 horses.

some of you must have some good dials then as most are normaly out. at over 160 on the dial my GPS was 152. As Twerlie said his GPS was 171 and the dial was more.

But it doesn't matter as Twerlie confirmed it was GPS so thats more like what I would of expected. smile

The speedo can be adjusted with some jumpers and some maths. I guess they got some set up wrong
