Headlight adjustment

Had mot on the car and the left hand headlight beam is incorrect. Before i cut the seal and remove covers behind the bulbs are the headlights adjustable?

Yes, 2 / 3 small screws on the edge of the unit if I recall

yep, very old fashioned idea, a bit like a moggy minor

They have some long threaded adjustable shanks, they should have 4 per light but due to fouling with the surround, some have been removed and only have 3 which is not good, as you will appreciate you really need one on each corner to line and level them properly,i.e. loosen one and then tighten the opposite corner, these ones that are missing are adjusted by adding some washers(packs) under where the light unit screws into the bezel.
