Hello all.
Bit about me. Im a 26 year old, originally from Doncaster but currently living in Basingstoke.
For the last 3 years i have owned VX220 Turbo. In those 3 years it was modified rather extensivly although there were no cosmetic ones.
My journey with that car ended in the ice on the 20th december where doing 30 on the duel carraigway proved to be to fast
Now i had no plans to change the car when it was fine as i dont think you can get as much bang for your buck other than the vx.
In the time i had it i've become a frequent user of there forum as its an excellent place. Which makes me aprihensive with starting a new forum haha.
Anyways, no i have the choice to get a new car. From reccomendations and a few months of thinking i think ive settled on a Noble. The 3R being the one thats cought my eye.
Now, on the vx as the servicing was cheap i took it to a specialist as it would then have the nice stamp in the book. But as the Nobles servicing is about 4 times more and the fact i am a mechanic, im in 2 minds on what to do on that front. What do you guys think? I could use my work stamp but is it going to hold much weight come selling time over the known specialists?
Now im due to go back to Afghan for 6 months in 3 weeks so the plan is to buy when im back.

When i do go to see one ill potentially be buying ill feel sorry for the seller as ill be going with a notepad and giving it a full inspection haha.
Hopefully i can help folks out on here with problems once i get to know the car.

Depending on whats available i may even be pushed as far as the M400 but depends on whats available at the time and for what prices

Look for a good 3R that has had the right upgrades and save yourself 10 15kI could stretch as far as that but wouldnt leave me with much savings!!
Or buy a standard 3/3R and spend a fortune getting it passed the 400 mark or for some greedy sods 600!!!
Which ever way you go you will enjoy
Hi Mark, I've found servicing costs to be very reasonable. A full service with the right bits by a garage who don't put markup on because it's a "Noble" (I've heard of some places charging £50-£60 a spark plug, I get them at £8 each).
My last full service (oil(elise), plugs, coolant, fluid top ups and fixed my windcreen washer @ £400 by a local garage to me.
Many parts you'll find via other vendor part no's such as Ford, Nissan etc, and mainly are reasonable
Finally there is a lot of passion on this forum by owners establishing their own mark on their car whether that be an exhaust upgrade to some serios stuff which is very impressive.

Or you could buy mine which would save you a fortune plus it has all the upgrades to make it quicker than a standard M400. I could stretch as far as that but wouldnt leave me with much savings!!
