Hello everyone

Bought my Monza Red 3R a couple of months ago from the nice people at Kerridges and I'm in love (with the Noble, not Mr Kerridge). The weather hasn't exactly been co-operative but on those rare days when snow, ice and rain haven't dominated proceedings this stunning car has shown me glimpses of what its capable of. And it really does bring a smile to my face.

I've got a 290bhp VX220T which I've had for 6 years now, and I'm amazed at how different the two driving experiences are. The Noble makes the VX feel like a go-cart. Love them both though.

Memorable moments so far:

1 Got a tiny bit sideways on the test drive. Completely unintended, but quite entertaining and a timely warning...

2 People taking photos, waving, applauding and crowding round the car at petrol stations. A few trying in vain to keep up round the corners. The VX gets attention but not on this scale.

3 Finding myself staring at it from every angle. For quite long periods of time.

4 And then the AA man who turned up within 5 mins of my call when a tyre valve flew off leaving me with a flat rear. Couldn't contain his excitement at getting his first ever call-out to a Noble. Turned out to be a complete petrolhead and really decent bloke. Sorted the valve and I offered him a pax ride by way of thanks. Hilarious - never heard an AA man whooping, or for that matter turning the air blue. Two hours later he reluctantly decided to head off for the next call-out.

Its taken me a while to post here but I wanted to say how useful this forum is as a source of great info and answers to the kind of questions that go through a Noble novice's head. Hope to put some faces to names in the near future.

Long way of saying hello. Will keep it briefer in future.

Hi Zoobeef - yes I'm on .org though don't post there much these days. My considered advice - get yourself a Noble, its like a grown-up VX. You won't regret it.

Hello Bondy and thanks. I'm in north Hertfordshire. Haven't spotted any Nobs round here yet - is there anyone out there?

Wow, sounds amazing. I hired a Ferrari F355 for 5 days a few months ago but i have never driven a noble, my dream was always to buy an F355 but all of a sudden out of nowhere i got smashed in the face by a Silver 2004 Noble m12 GTO 3R, red interior.

well not literaly but you get the idea. I have totally changed my views, the Ferrari is nice but i felt a little too flashy after 5 days in a bright Red F355. The Noble looks stunning and from all the reviews i have read it sounds like the perfect toy for me, a real drivers car. So anyway to cut a long story short in 9 months i will have the funds to make the purchase. From my research so far i know i will find it difficult to find the exact year that i want with the correct colour code and reasonably low mileage but i have enough time to look.

Is there anywhere better than Autotrader to look for them?

What are they like with regards to reliability?

Also what is the best sounding exhaust to go for?

Would really appreciate some answers from people that from what i have read are in the know.

P.S. Don't hate me for not actually owning one, i still need somewhere to do my research, i don't mind sitting in the corner.

Look in the ph clasified, thats the best place to get a nob.
as far as reliability, mines been good but as with any car you could get a good one or a bad one.
And exhaust is down to to your own taste
