HID fitting

To those of you who have fitted HIDs yourselves, especially those with the HIDS4U kit, did you have to extend the wiring anywhere?
I've had mine in their box for months and only just getting round to fitting them now and I can't see a way of doing it without cutting and chopping?

Not fited them on a noble but have fitted them and havne had to cut anything before. Existing wires plug into the hid kit and then the hid kit into the new bulb

Hi thanks for that but the issue with the Noble is the distance from the headlamp to a suitable mounting point for the ballast. It's ok when the clam is shut but I'd need to unplug them before I opened it which isn't practical.

They do offer extension cables but they'll work out expensive, just wondering how others have done it?

Rob - Skip from LondonNoble (now Bespoke Performance in Hertford) fitted mine. Pretty sure that some lengthening of the wires was necessary to allow the ballast to be fitted somewhere that would remain dry.

Thanks Rob I suspected that might be the case but they say if you cut anything you invalidate the warranty so was a little dubious. And that's exactly where I wanted to mount my ballasts so it's nice to see I'm not alone on the placement too.
