Can you see the problem ??

whilst on the dyno in the week , Trevor and Steve felt there was a wastegate issue and advised me to contact Universal Turbo's ref the problem , i was a bit dissapointed as the turbo,s were serviced last year and have only done 4000 miles , after speaking to Graham at Universal he recommeneded i remove the back turbo and send it back under warranty for them to have a look at .

now ive got it off i can see the problem ,the wastegate has slipped down and no longer locates in the housing meaning it cannot close properly hence why i was loosing some boost at low rpm .well spotted mr Yellowshed !!!

Is there any movement on the shaft which corresponds with that displacement Simon?

It's faily common for the wastegate penny to sit off centre like that, have a look at the inside face of the wastegate, you should be able to see if it's closing fully?
I'd suggest seeing what the crack open points are between the 2 Turbos first, make sure they're the same?

It's not closing Mike , you can see where they have put a spot weld to hold it up and it's broken and dropped down !!
