Front shock on a 3R
Discussion
Hi can anyone help?
My front O/S shock has leaked fluid. Does anyone know who can repair these? I would also be interested in where I could source a replacement if necessary...
Many thanks

(I sent it to Gaz Autos but they are sending it back because they can't fix this type, it's a mono damper??)

Spoke to John who was very helpful (and it's reassuring to know they are familiar with Nobles and know their stuff).
£100 ish for a refurb (replacing shims, welding a nozzle on and re-gassing). They can also re-chrome them and make them shiney.
£1280 +vat for new ones (a pair) which are a much better upgrade than stock.
The stock shocks are Bilstein with Eibach springs (sp)

never seen any of the BAD stuff in the flesh, be interested to see how there a much better upgrade than stock.
We have always used Bilstein to refurb any we need doing that way they have all the right bits in built and dyno tested to original spec (or reshimed if customer asks) and can replace the piston rods if they are worn as im not sure everyone can.
Matt
Nitron did mine £65 each, if the rod shows sign of wear then it's an extra £15.

Jetstream (Dave?):
BAD shocks are fully adjustable I was told.
Simon (Tux):
Price of shocks have gone up since 2009 from £600 ish for a pair at BAD. Still they look really cool in red!
For information I also contacted LEDA. This was their response:

Unfortunately, as our main factory has become unbelievably busy, from the start of 2011 we will not be continuing to build or service Leda dampers, and suggest if necessary you get in touch with AVO suspension or IG Racing.
Thank you - Graham Martin
