I suspect you will not make it to the SICL Event in June.

I'm no expert but I would say there are a few things missing on your car.

Just a hint, after the chassis has been repowder coated. Get some ACF50 and spray inside all the tubing. It is commonly used in sea planes for anti corrosion. It will dry leaving a protective film which stops electrolosis, ie rust. Dont know why factory never did this. Even linseed oil works well.

Why is there a bit of chassis bar missing from the engine bay?

Access for the TDS, it's a removable section.

Providing you ignore the lack of crash side protection, and how bad the rollover cage is

The splice plates are part of the removable section. Hopefully you can see the fixing hole in this picture.

Well the chassis is back and looking brand new!! biggrin

Although I was somewhat surprised to note the following.........

I thought the white filler was used just to smooth the cage and get a good finish for covering with the Alcantara.

Turns out it was to smooth the cage where it had been welded. Looks like the cage was assembled from shorter bent lengths welded to straights. confused

Still, I have no intention of ever rolling the car over so I hope never to test those welds out!! eek

You should have made a convertible while you had it that far stripped.
