Acceleration Times!
Discussion
I have been logging lots of acceleration data in different gears with the P box recently, i was trying to do some good 100-200kmh times, but best i managed was 6.4 seconds which is fast but nothing spectacular, but comparing to other supercars it is quite good i.e. Porsche Carrera Gt in 7.3 and Italia 458 in 6.8, problem is that this is not a good acceleration range for the Nobles gearing, you either have to go 3rd, 4th, 5th which because of two gear changes messes up the time, or 4th and 5th starting at low rpm in 4th, this gives the best time for me, i have found taht there is no need for changing gear at high rpm, you get better acceleration times by changing earlier and letting the torque do its job.
Now tonight i changed the acceleration parameters on the P box which would suit my gearing better, i.e.i set the P box to log 100-170kmh acceleration time, i managed this in 3.4 seconds, 100-150kmh only took 2.4 seconds, 110- 160kmh in 2.4, 120-170 in 2.4, 150-200kmh in 3.2, 160 - 210 in 3.2.
When you look at the acceleration figures without gear change then the performance looks quite good, i.e. an italia 458 has virtually instant gear change but still takes 6.8 seconds to do 100-200kmh, now the Noble does 100-170kmh in 3.4 seconds in 4th which pretty much means that up until the gear change the noble would be pulling away from the 458 by quite a margin.
So after setting P box acceleration times for about an hour i went crusiing through Larnaca for the attention factor, then it struck me, the car is probably one of the most formidable all rounders on the road, it can hold its own against cars set up purely for drag and it can still hold its own against the most up to date supercars, and!.. it still has lots of head room for further improvement!!
..the mind boggles.
Has anybody else logged any P bor or V box times, if so what were the results?

It's this thing here in the picture, the manufacturer is race logic, it got good reviews and is supposed to be very accurate.

It has a satelite receiver which goes external, if you try to cheat and accelerate downhill it knows and will not record the data, it calculates distance travelled by the true horizontal distance travelled and only accepts accleration data within 3 deg of sea level.
Yes i am well sub 3 seconds on 70 - 100mph, my 110- 160kmh is 2.4, i have all the data stored on a SD card.
These cars are capable of so much more, it would be interesting to see what the acceleration data is like on Kevins or FunKy's car i bet the numbers are pretty amazing with all that torque.

I tested my 80- 130kmh time tonight, it was colder tonight, and managed 1.9 seconds.
Thats very fast Steve, 50kmh to 210kmh in under 10 seconds, i will have to try that one out starting in second gear
I am having problem with traction at the moment in 2nd, boost is too high, i need to learn to bring the power in gradually, once i get into 3rd im ok, i'm in the UK tomorrow so i will continuer testing when i get back.

It's just a 500bhp Noble M12 GTO3R, any Noble with the same power and transmission will produce similar results, but i have reduced my downforce and drag coefficient for faster acceleration, i did these runs minus diffuser and spoiler, and also rear clam has been opened up to reduce drag.
