Started a couple of days ago when the passenger door would'nt open from the outside, and now when i press the central locking the passenger door wont lock. (driver side is fine)

the door opens and closes fine now just no lock. Is it best opening the panel and having a look?

anything to look for in particular folks?

thanks

There will be a solenoid that locks and unlocks the door. So either;

a) the solenoid is Barry Tucked
b) A wire has dropped off said solenoid
c) A connecting rod etc has come disconnected.

Do you hear anything from the passenger's side when you lock/unlock the car ?

I'd take the door card off and have a look; you should see things move when you press the remote. You could also take the card off the drivers door and then you'll be able to see what should be happening on a working door.

Yes take off the door panel, you have to take out ther speaker get your arm inside and feel for 3 butterfly nuts, thse are the only hidden fixings.
The door system is very simple you will probably find that a cable has come loose somewhere, it will be apparant what is going on when you pull the door lever.
The latch may have gone onto dead lock, if you play about with the levers on the lock and follow the cables you will find the problem. Just make sure the solenoid is working on the central locking when you press the remote.

If you give the emergency entry a bit of a pull it may sort it in the short term

One each side. Look in the owner's manual.

Ok thanks, I listened today and it sounds like there is movement inside of the door then try the handle and still opens.
