The Indigo blue 3R with Compomotive wheels, nitron shocks, looks a better buy to me.
You get 6 speed, LSD, better light clusters, track day sump, the car is 2 years younger with lower milage, by 2005 they had got a bit better at building them, materials were upgraded, alot of little niggles were ironed out, better earths for bulbs, extra sound insulation etc.. i have owned a GTO3 and now a 3R, i can tell you that when you start to delve deep there are lots of little differences.

I know its 7K difference in price, but i believe the money differences are far outweighed because you are getting so much more, you have 3200 in wheels and shocks, 500 sump, 2000 gearbox, 3000 to upgrade to a 3R clam thats 8.7k then you have to add in the car is two years younger and a higher model with lower milage.
Dont look for cheap, look for bargains.

don't listen to chris he is from cyprus you know wink;)

its says Lsd which is good means the box has had some work , the std diff is crap !!

you need to find out if it has a track day sump !!!

GT03 are lighter than 3R's which is good in the performance stakes !!!

Looks good value at the price as its also had some other upgrades ..

and its a cool colour coolcool

Just out of interest, how is the 3 lighter than the 3R?

it has less sound deadning along with a few other bits that Noble forgot to fit !!

oh and the Nitrons are too stiff and the springs do not fit right so im not sure they are a improvement over std !! ;-)

Don't listen to Simon he is a perfect example of upgrading to 3R spec, 6 speed box with LSD, headlight lenses hehe

Knowing what i know now i think it would work out cheaper to start with a M400 model for what i have spent on Turbos, oil coolers, forged pistons, upgraded shocks, side pods etc..and also it says M400 on the logbook wink but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I think i have seen this car before when it was yellow, ask if it also has a new 5 speed box recently, i'm guessing last October/November time?

Main reason is 6 speed box and LSD which Simon is in the process of fitting to catch up on the weight stakes wink
There are also other little things that help make up the 40kg, like sound deadening and front light clusters.
leather? track day sump? maybe even the alloys are a bit heavier?

But the advantage of a 6 speed box more than compensates on performance for the extra weight, i have owned both models and imo the gearing makes quite a difference to how the car accelerates.

Yup, I can't quite get my head round this one. I was interested in it round that time but wasn't too sure about the yellow. Now it's come back and they've painted themselves into an even deeper corner by respraying in an even more niche colour scheme. I sent the link to my girlie who said, and I quote, "It's rank, sorry. I'd be embarassed to get in it."

Definition of a "Bargain" : Where both sides think they have ripped the other off.
