SO2'S are a softer compound so wont last as long but have fantastic grip in the dry, so3's are harder, last longer and have better grip in the wet with the tread pattern on them. I had so3's on another car and done a trackday at donington and they were useless! All my own opinion obviously, depends what you use your car for and how much you push the limits.

Do they still make bridgestone so3 tyres?
Pretty sure that they don't. If you just need a pair to keep a matching set, you may be lucky and pick up a couple on eBay but they are getting like hens teeth these days.S03's were the standard fit on GT03 & 3R's but the factory are now recommending Bridgestone RE050's
however there are lots of alternatives out there if these don't float your boat.
