Hello

I have a Tesla Model Y which I collected in December and am very happy with. Tesla have told me that matrix lights will be provided using an over the air update. Does anyone know if I have the correct lights fitted to “matrix”. Thanks!

Play the “light show”. If it projects “Tesla” then you have matrix lights!

When we picked ours up in September no mention was made about future functionality but at that time it was common knowledge that all made in China Ys had matrix units. I assume that’s still the case. As all UK Ys to date are made on china you should have matrix units just waiting for software

Yes, 2021 M3.

Updated about a week ago, tested that evening. Very impressed, a big upgrade.

All U.K. MY came with matrix, but if you want to check you’re looking for what looks like a glass golf ball within the headlight unit, located towards the outer edge

I have the same model year 3 too and have this upgrade.

I'm still getting used to it as I never used 'auto' headlights previously. Does flashing the lights or manually dipping them override or cancel the setting?

I can't say as I've always used the auto function.

The new setting can be turned off however in the menu under lights.

I got this upgrade too, M3 2021, wasn’t expecting it but absolutley delighted with it. Drove from Brighton to the north east and it behaved impeccably on the M1, A1 and locally too.
