A friend who has had a deposit on the new Roadster for nigh on 10 years - his was the first in Europe - has been invited to a launch event in Texas on Oct 1st. The original specs were Rimac type performance at a tenth of the price. Let's see what actually transpires. Tesla has the advantage of scale in the components.
