Anyone on here actually owned/driven one of the above?
I like the idea of a fairly high performance car that isn't a Porsche/McLaren/Lotus etc ,that has Toyota build quality/reliabilty, but can find very little real world information out there.
Not really interested in the hybrid version, only the 5l V8.
Any information appreciated.

Jayemm has a couple of videos on his channel, but I'm guessing you have seen those along with the savagegeese ones?

Go on the Lexus owners club forum. Only problem seems to be the fuel cap not always opening. There is a recall though. Plus the usual moaning about the clunky infotainment system!

I own a V8 5 litre which I bought 2 years ago .
Coming from various recent BMW M cars ,Porsche and Jag XKR etc. Best car I have had and a real sense of occasion every time I drive it,look at it,clean it . Quality of interior is incredible and unlike any other brand, which is a good thing.
Very rare on the roads and appears to get appreciative comments all the time.
Lexus dealers in a different class generally to other premium brands .
Equally at home wafting along or using that immense power.
Exhaust sound is addictive.
I have averaged around 30 mpg but got 40 on a 300 mile round trip recently.
Infotainment not as bad as reviews, you just need to get used to it.Never a deal breaker.
I have the sticking fuel flap sometimes in cold weather but so far have cured it with silicone spray. There is a revised mechanism but I havent bothered yet.
Unbelievable value in comparison to alternatives but not that many available.
Hope this helps.
A J.

Agree with the above.
Amazing car to look at, sit in and listen to.
Never feels like it will let you down and it won't.
Lexus dealers are fantastic.
Warranty now included if you get it serviced every year by Lexus (compared to £3k + per year for an M car or AMG over 60k miles).

Insurance for me was surprisingly more than my Panamera turbo S
Infotainment not its best feature.
ML shows up poor quality sources (overly compressed files). It's OK but I prefer the ML I had in my GS450h or a Bose/ Bowers-Wilkins system in my other cars.
Go for a sport plus model.
I love mine and may go for a lower mileage newer one next although it feels like it could do another 100k without missing a beat.

To but in on Tony's thread as I quite fancy getting one too.

Did you get the update to add Android Auto, that assumes it is possible, I have seen it mentioned, but not much on other fora?

The suspension was updated on the 2020 model, anyone noticed a difference when driving?

I am not sure whether Android update is available as a retro fit but in any event I wouldnt bother.I am only interested in the quality of the sound system and its ability to play DAB and my cd collection and bluetooth ipod etc. The Mark Levinson is very good in my opinion and far better than HK in my Beemers and Bose on others.

Quick thread bump:

What are the servicing/maintenance costs like on these?

Starting to get even more tempted!
