Aygo headlight - old & 'faded' glass

My sister visited recently & owns an old Aygo (2011, IIRC).
The headlamp glass is very 'degraded' - looks in need of a clean, but perhaps from the inside!
I have no idea if these are sealed units (which I suspect is probably uneconomical to fix), or whether anything can be done.
Anyone have a clue?!
The lights still work, but must be degraded to this lack of clarity.

I'm surprised it's not got attention from the MOT tester - I've had advisories for less than that!
It'll most likely be as a result of loads of tiny scratches from road dirt/wind etc and you should be able to freshen it up with a polish:

They will be plastic and most likely impacted by UV and years of mild abrasion.
As above there's kits you can get to help improve them but ultimately it's about hitting them with abrasives of varying cut and then finishing with a polishing compound and UV protectant. If you have a rotary polisher you can do this relatively quickly, you just need to keep pressure light and keep moving so as not to heat the plastic too much in one place.
Toothpaste or Brasso combined with elbow grease will get you some improvement if you're willing to put the effort in but in the past I've had good results with 3000 and 5000 grade wet & dry and then some Menzerna one-step polish.

I went with the Autoglym (£30 Halfrauds plus an extra fiver off), & gave it a go this evening. Probably rushed it a little, but a 30 minute wash/dry/sand/sand/sand/sand/polish produced a nice improvement!Now to instil into her to polish the headlights fairly regularly!
