FJ Re-import Insurance

Hi, I have just returned to London with my 2009 FJ (exported twice to Ukraine and, three years ago to Switzerland). In the process of re-importing to UK and having a runaround trying to get insurance. Despite having been on UK plates and insured before, same companies don't recognise the model and won't insure. WTF? Any ideas gratefully received!

Have you tried the usual import insurance? Mainstream people (apart from Admiral) don't generally do them.
