Ceramics coating & PPF

It seems that many go for this? I know its been mentioned in some topics, but easily missed, so suggest a dedicated topic?

My A110 is due for delivery soon, and I would like a ceramic coating and probably some front end PPF as well. Are there any suppliers you'd recommend and any insights into how much PPF is required? Any approximate pricing info? I'm in the south, which would be my preference but prepared to travel for a good service.

Hi and congratulations on becoming a future A110 0wner!

When I bought my S in December 2019 I did the same as you're planning to do - I went for a front bumper PPF only, which cost £420 (January 2020) and I used Race by Design in East Grinstead, West Sussex who did a great job and are real enthusiasts. They are agents for Xpel PPF, which I wanted to use since they have a template for the new A110 which I preferred to the thought of a company cutting the film to fit. I would recommend them any day.

I can't help with the ceramic coating, since it was done by a friend of mine in the business, but I imagine that Race by Design could also do that.
IMHO it's also very worthwhile having done.

I'll be using Think Wraps for 100% PPF + ceramic coat, when I get my car too - in fact, before I get it. The dealer is going to deliver it there for me on their transporter, so I won't be driving it before it's protected. I should thank you again, Coilover, for the Think Wraps tip.

I've just sold a nearly 10 years old McLaren that had 100% PPF from new. Only three people viewed it before it sold, & they'd all seen plenty of other McLarens of similar age. Everybody agreed the PPF had been a very worth while investment. I'm too busy to dig out the quote, but from memory you're looking at about £3,500 to fully protect an Alpine.

I did front bumper, bonnet, headlights, wing mirrors and sills. Over one year/10k miles, the mirrors and sills are doing all the hard work - don't skip these!

I'm getting the front bumper, bonnet, front wings, wing mirrors, sills, whole rear 3/4 panel and the a-pillars up and over to the rear tricolour done by Assetti near Chester in the next 2-3 weeks. I'll let you know how I get on

On the basis that I'll use it in all weathers and conditions I'm having PPF and a ceramic coating applied to my soon to be delivered GT. Following the recommendation of Alpine Orpington Its being done at Creative FX in Bromley.
Total cost with VAT is just over £2400 and that includes PPF on the following: -
Bonnet
Front wings
Headlights
Front bumper
Mirrors
A-pillars
side sills

I'll keep you updated after I take delivery
