hmmm. i was after a set of titanium ones but because the car will see track use and reading about failures on the forums re titanium studs and bolts, maybe it isn't such a good idea them Ti ones

Where did you hear that? I did a trackday day a couple of weeks ago with Ti bolts fitted, and had no issues.

Do a search. Long term track use not advised. If you are tracking infrequently should not be an issue.
