Have a wheel on "backorder" with St Alban's.

First one turned up damaged....

Seemingly they don't know what that actually means or can find out if it's days...months...never...

I will try some contacts at Head Office...

But does anyone know of a decent contact that can find out this pretty basic stuff?
Someone somewhere knows exactly the eta on this stuff, why that isn't propagated I have no idea.

Great car, brand and support not so much I'm finding out.

Speak with customer services on 0800 023 2330?

Not a carbon one is it? A friend has been waiting for one for over 5 months

One wing mirror stopped opening earlier in the week. Still under warranty so discussed with my local dealer ( Martins) . They just want to replace it, but suggested that it was on back order and already had customers waiting months for them. Ordered anyway, but I messaged Alpine through the app asking why it should take so long. Alpine rang me within an hour, took some details and promised a ring back next day. They rang back with news that the wing mirror would arrive in France on 28th December, and then on to the UK dealer. Impressed they contacted me, in the meantime time removing the fuse with the mirrors forced open removes the frustration of manually operating them

This does worry me and it's not just Alpine.

Basic parts being hard to source, potentially meaning that your pride and joy is off the road for weeks or months.

Pretty ridiculous.

Are companies trying to keep their costs low by building cars but not bothering to have a stock of spares.

If the customer needs them, fek them.

Someone else had problems getting brake pads for their Alpine. Are they that specific?

It's a common part that wears out, so to not have a warehouse full of pads seems pretty ridiculous.

My ex wife's Kadjar has lost its clutch, after less than 40k miles in 8 years. Garage can't say when they will find a replacement.

It's worse than that - they do have stock but won't take things off the production line, but then also don't stock the parts elsewhere.

As recorded elsewhere, after 9 months of waiting for an air vent ring (faulty carbon on a brand new car) I gave up and bought one off a breakers and sent them the bill, in the meantime they are fitting 2 to every new car that they make. This with involvement of Alpine UK.

This is the answer, seems like Wasim is pretty much the only guy there, but doing a stand up job of sorting things out.

New wheel now on hand.
