Anyone had complete loss of dash?
Discussion
Doing a track day at Spa though hard to see how it’s related. Dash has gone completely dead twice. Came back first time after a few restarts and reseating fuse. Telemetrics/infotainment works fine, controls still work just completely dead dash. Do have a video of it as I know intermittent faults can be a sod to find.
Any ideas? Fuse was fine.
Can get speed on telematics (or phone) to limp home. Biggest arse is loss of fuel gauge!

Hi James, great to meet you too. Always interesting to compare notes on car setup.
Driving home yesterday it was faultless, which makes me think it's heat related. The times it failed on track were either at the end of a session (after cooling down laps) or after sitting in the pit shortly after a session. Once it had sat for 30 mins or so, it seemed to come back.
Given that, I wonder if it's something like a dry joint starting to fail (or relay) and they will struggle to reproduce the issue.

Hi. I have not experienced this issue myself. However, I do have a 'Service Campaign' notification in the My Alpine app which sounds like it could refer to this issue. It says:
'We have identified a potential quality risk on the vehicle, which we would like to check. If you are its owner or in charge of its maintenance, we request that you contact your preferred Alpine retailer for more information and to book an appointment for any work to be completed free of charge.
0EL3 - Our teams have identified that the instrument panel of your vehicle may go fully or partially black, due to a faulty electrical contact.'
So it sounds like it may well be a recall item anyway so well worth checking with the dealer.
To be honest I hadn't worried about this issue until I read that it had actually happened to someone! I was going to wait until my next service and mention it. I should perhaps get in touch with the dealer more quickly.
Mine is a December 2024 model if that's helpful.
Good luck, hope goes well with getting it sorted.

Interesting, thanks. I'll mention that when I talk to Winchester. Mine's a 2019 car (hoping this is still covered under warranty as I took out a 3 year extension when the original one expired. I've owned the car from new).'We have identified a potential quality risk on the vehicle, which we would like to check. Got the car into Martins today. While the car has behaved fine since the original post, I showed Martins the video when I dropped the car off. They've diagnosed dash failure. Fortunately covered under warranty (I took the extended warranty at 3 years, car is now 5.5 years old).
Amazingly they'll have a replacement in tomorrow. Can't argue with that!
