Hi folks

Hoping for some advice. Thanks in advance.
I have a three year old A110S with only 3,500 kms. Six months ago I detected a vibration in the steering wheel at idle particularly on a slope. At times you could see the cowling shake and you can feel it in the brake pedal. The dealer replaced the engine mounts. Initially fixed but came back again. Dealer found a cracked spark plug, replaced it and cleaned other plugs. Problem not fixed. Dealer said this how the car is.

So does anyone have any idea cause of issue as it is getting frustrating.

Any assistance much appreciated.
Cheers
Cameron

Does it improve if you put it in sport mode or put it in neutral?

The reason I ask, is that in "Normal" mode the tick over is only around 750rpm, so if left in gear it can drag and result in a lumpy idle. Putting it in neutral takes away some drag on the drivetrain. Sport raises the idle to c1000rpm so lifts it out of the lumpy tickover.

Hi
I tested car today. Vibration at idle more noticeable when in drive as opposed to park with handbrake on. But still evident in park.
Thanks.

Does the vibration occur at all angles of the steering wheel?
Try turning the steering wheel 45 degrees and see if it stops.
Just a thought as I’m still trying to understand what’s happening with my steering.
If you see my post about steering.
I’ve checked the tank security so I must have some movement in the steering column.
To be continued.
