Tyre Pressure Warning?

I've been searching the forums without any answers on this, wondering if anyone has some insights for my '24 GT.

A few weeks back I noticed that my tyre pressures were all around 36psi, so I dropped them back to 29/31, all was well. A couple of days later the tyre pressure warning came on, checked pressures and all was well, but no option for a reset. Have since had 10 days absent, return to car and still have the same problem. Done a couple of hundred miles in the past few days, regularly trying to reset before/during/after journeys but still no option to do so - just the yellow Tyre Pressure Warning on the console, and the little light.

Any ideas how to reset this? Could it be a failed sensor?

You can read out the TPMS signal with an app like Car Scanner and an OBD2 dongle to detect a faulty sensor. Otherwise inflate the tires again to the previous value and reduce it in smaller steps, each time resetting the sensors.

Do you have the "tyre pressure set unavailable" on the display? Tyre pressures have to be above 1.6 bar so a failed sensor may cause it.

If you have the Alpine app tyre pressures are on the opening page. Mine read rubbish but a failed sensor may show there.

Mine just reset with ignition on no engine running after adjusting pressures.

Display doesn't show anything other than the TP warning. However, your idea of the app was good - I checked and it's showing the front tyres as "29.6 correct / 29.2 flat" I'll try putting just a little more in the offside and see if that helps.

Er... where is this info in the app? All I see is petrol (in gallons) above the car.

You can reset tyre pressure provided they are over 1.6bar.
Use right stalk up/down to display trip info, then left stalk button to cycle through the options.
There will be a display offering a TP reset?

If you have the Alpine App, search the e document.
Explains better than me, but it's pretty easy when you know where it is.

In the app on my Android phone with vehicle selected along the bottom. Under maintenance I have Vehicle schedule and tyre pressure. Click on tyre pressure.

Apologies, I had assumed you were in the menu that Pticker discusses on the dash display. :-)

Not all cars display tyre pressure in the app - last I heard only the most recent cars (2024+) activate it to show in the app - for all I know its different Android vs Apple too

Sadly not, it’s not giving the option. Will try putting a little more air in the offside tomorrow and see if that sorts it.

Seems odd, here is a video just incase you misread my instructions.

But maybe your sensors are failing?

Well, the problem solved itself... I added another 1PSI to each of the front tyres just to see if that would nudge it back into behaving, but 200 miles and no joy and no option to reset. Then got in this afternoon and the warnings were gone. I figure my car is just being all French and shruggy and gives not one damn what I think of its eccentricities...
