Front bumper alignment

I was talking to another owner at C&M recently about the issue of front bumper alignment where the bumper meets the wing on the inner side of the headlight often being less than exact. Both our cars have this issue, it's not immediately noticeable but now I've seen it I cant unsee it! I've contacted the dealer about having it looked at but I was wondering if this might be something that might be a simple DIY fix by removing the black plastic surrounds around the front storage area, loosening the top bolts that hold the bumper in position and adjusting the position slightly, it looks like it only needs to move around 1mm or so.

Has anyone tried this and had success?

"They all do that, sir; it's a characteristic of the marque". Or mine does, and so do several others that I've seen. I have no idea how to correct it.

It can be corrected. Mine was similar but was fixed by Carbody Banbury - they did an excellent job fwiw
