My 25 (3.5k miles) GT comfort seats have started to get a bit "baggy", anybody else have this? is it normal?

My 2025 (7k miles) has also started to do this. My car is due in for it's first service next month, and I think I'll mention it when it goes in, as it doesn't seem like it should be happening it so quickly.

Is yours similar to mine (car seat not arse smile) Can you update how you get on at the dealers?

smile,
I didn't have any issues with the 911 or current daily Volvo although being 70 my wife did mention a while ago that I dont appear to have an arse anymore.

I had exactly the same thing on my previous Alpine A110 GT. I read somewhere on the Pistonheads forum that it was an issue others had experienced and would probably go away after a wee while - which is exactly what happened.

Hopefully the same will happen to yours.

Yes, pretty much the same as yours from the look of it.
It’s not for a few weeks yet, but I’ll update here after.

Mine is exactly the same. 73 plate GT with 14000 miles but been like this for a while.

The only reason I haven’t had it and a few other warranty items seen to is because Alpine Manchester (certainly prior to moving site) were literally impossible to get hold of, and never returned calls.

I think mine is going that way after 4,000 miles. I will consider it as ‘character’ and live with it unless it starts to look really shabby.

Mine is due its first service in May so I will mention the seat issue to the dealer (Martins Winchester).

Is this not due to the heated seat element? warming the leather up will make it more supple so if someone is sitting in it at the time then it will stretch.

Doesn't happen in the unheated buckets. But then they're not leather..

How would stiff new leather shoes wear in to be more comfy if they didn't stretch a little?

I think most leather seats suffer this eventually so I treat it as showing character.

I’ve used a hot and damp cloth on BMW seats before to use a bit of heat to help tighten the leather up a bit and lessen the sagging. Worth a try if out of warranty.
