I wonder if these parts, on the GTS test car are actually real carbon or just carbon-look plastic

On previous models (e.g. Legente, S) I remember seeing this glossy (vs the matt which is now available)

So is this latest matt look real carbon and if yes, did anyone got an option to have it in glossy instead? (matt finish looks cheap IMO)

I’d work on the basis that it’s plastic. I have. If someone tells me reliably that it’s not I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Mine's a Pure and had the matt trims as standard. I like it far more than the shiny stuff, which to me just looks like shiny plastic. But then I hate the current trend for 'piano black' trim in a lot of cars, it just looks rubbish and attracts nothing but reflections and grubby fingerprints.

I'd be highly surprised if the Alpine trim were real carbon, but it does look good.

I'm sure I read that they were real carbon when the car was announced. Whether it was or still is, I wouldn't bet money on - but I do think it looks good.

I also remember such a thing.

In S Enstone Edition there are some carbon parts coming from the F1 team.

Carbon on the car is just about the only element I d rather have in glossy
Matt makes it look somewhat 'cheap' in my eyes

Would be nice if the glossy carbon bits can be ordered / replace the ones in the car

Is there any known parts directory for Alpine e.g. like 'realoem' is for BMW?

A mate of mine has a 2024 GT, his interior has glossy carbon finish. On my S these parts all have the satin finish. As far as I can gather they are carbon and not plastic?

I've checked a number of adverts for used cars and all GT appear to have the gloss parts, all S and GTS have satin.

It seems that for the GTS the factory must have opted for the S interior finish of satin carbon parts.

So I guess it'd be easy to swap them over if you can't live with the satin finish?

I can confirm your experience.
Pure and S have satin finish, Legend GT or GT have shiny surface.
Can be easily checked on many pictures in the net i.e. on used car platforms.

Whats looking better or more "real carbon"? Everybody may make his own opinion.
However the parts should be available as genuine spare parts. I am not aware of tuning parts - at least I have never seen them in the web.

They are carbon, just ask your parts department for the price of a replacement. smile

The matt finish looks far better in my opinion, however it's clearly a matter of personal preference.
