Not holiday related, I'm afraid another OSR spring failure thread..

This was discovered at yesterday's service, not sure when it happened (could even have been on the way to the dealer, I heard a loud knocking crawling over a speed bump at the local Maccas). Looks like the spring snapped half way up and then rode over itself, the car is driveable but sitting about 15mm lower on one side now.

Fortunately the super-helpful Matt from Spires has come to the rescue and a full set of Pook-tastic Life110 progressive springs are being fitted in a few weeks, the car will have to be laid up until then.

Yikes - glad it's now sorted.

Quite an odd place for one to fail - they usually go at the bottom, where the first coil overlaps the end. But I guess with the right stone thrown up, the coating can be chipped anywhere.
