ADVICE WANTED PLEASE! What Kart Trailer to choose?
Discussion
There are many choices for trailers in karting and as ever it comes down to budget and also what vehicle you have for towing etc
Have a look at these two brands
https://ticknertrailers.co.uk/
https://debontrailers.co.uk/
I would say that tickners are the most common trailer in use and best priced
Have a google of these too and its comes straight up with ones for sale from karting people too.
Advice would be go for a twin wheel / twin axle if you can afford it although single is perfectly adequate.
100% make sure the bearings have been serviced before you drive it any long distance and also check tyres too
Upgrade security ie hitch lock and wheel clamp, locks and think about tracking with a hidden airtag or similar
Loads of good ideas on the web for layouts ie single twin kart. Tool stations, tyre holders, axle bays, lighting etc
Good luck

We have a Tickners trailer that we built our own 'shelves' into the back of for the kart to rest on similar to this: https://ticknertrailers.co.uk/karting-trailers/
What karts will you be putting in the trailer? The single axle unbraked trailers have a max of 750kg which is fine if you only have 1 kart, but if you had 2 pro karts and say 8 engines, an awning, tables, fuel, tool boxes etc, you'd likely be over weight. That said if the car is big enough you can carry engines, and stuff in the boot, but its easier to have it all in the trailer in my experience. You don't have to have the kart travelling flat either, if you drain the fuel and take the engines off for transport (as we always do anyways) this means you can transport the kart upright in the back of a van or trailer rachet strapped to the walls (lots of people do this in the Vans or horse boxes)
I'd say Tickners are the most common in our paddock but you can make anything work really. Vans, horse boxes, 7.5T lorries, smaller box trailers with roof bars on top. I've even seen a VW UP! with the kart on the roofbars lol.
