Finding original supplying dealer?

I want to get some new plates made up for my car and would like to know who the original supplying dealer was to recreate them (a BMW Mini car). Is there any way I can find out?

Look in the service book.

there’s a good chance that the supplying dealer will be the same as whoever did the pre-delivery check.

What’s the first (or last depending on the age) 2 letters of the original reg?

Look at what region that is, look for the BMW dealer in that area. Lots of dealers have had the franchises for many years so likely to have been the same depending on the age.

Good idea about the service book, I will try and find it!

In the meantime it is ‘FN’ which is Nottingham, and there is a BMW mini synter Nottingham dealer there, so maybe them, assuming existed in 2013
