A good decision, but shame it's come to this.

Seems that drastic action is what will be needed to rid the sport of MBS.

Surely MBS can't be re-elected??????

Who else is in the running or alleged to be putting their hat in? I did hear Susie Wolf was being considered??

David Richards might throw his hat into the ring again, would be a good choice.

Susie would be a massive conflict of interest with her husband’s interests in F1, could you just imagine Horny’s whining about it every week? Possibly a decade or two from now she could be an interesting candidate.

Sadly, as with FIFA and the IOC, each country gets one vote so you all you have to do is make ‘promises’ to half the world to be elected.

.
max candidate age limit is 70. Richards is 72 so can't apply.

Ah that’s annoying, who else can world motorsport find in the next few months who can play the politics with all the national associations?

I was thinking Ari Vatanen would be good (he was an EU MP so knows his way around politics) but that would rule him out too.

He was beaten by Todt in 2009; and had no connection to F1, which is usually a factor. After MBS, I doubt we'll see another non-F1 connected candidate elected President.
MBS even admitted he spent too much time with F1, and took his eyes off the ball with regards to WRC.......

Briatore and Dennis would also be too old! I think it’s now most likely to be Ari Vatanen as the challenger.

Sulayem was a huge customer of MSport in his rally days so that is no shock, I think MW would be dep chairman though
