Let's kick off next year with some more good news from Hampshire (copy of the club's facebook post):
Key Milestones Achieved!
It takes a special kind of person to get excited about the paperwork and procedure side of event organising, but luckily the Ashley Group Dimanche Tour of Hampshire team is full of special people!
Recently FDMC have achieved a couple of significant and absolutely mandatory milestones:
• We have been issued with our organising permit by Motorsport UK.
• We have submitted our Application for a Motor Race Order (the legal instrument) to Hampshire Country Council.
These two steps give us even more confidence towards a brilliant new closed road rally in the Hart District on 11th April 2027. We will have lots more details to announce soon, but will leave with you the words of Hampshire County Council itself:
“The event will attract competitors, marshals and spectators from across the UK, boosting spending in local businesses such as hotels, restaurants and shops. There are benefits to Hampshire County Council supporting the event, subject to the Motor Race Order being approved, with the associated economic and publicity benefits as well as the enjoyment that the event will bring to those participating or watching.”
