I'd love to try one of these but it looks rough underneath. Is that a normal amount of rust for an NC?

Hi everyone, Doug here, the seller.
Having enjoyed MX5s for nearly 20 years, and making this my ultimate version, I've decided it's time to experience something different. The plan is to get a convertible capable of long (a week plus) road trips with a bit more space.
This one has been with me for six years and has been looked after thoroughly, with all service history and upgrades documented.
It has also featured on YouTube, last year on Petrol Poodle and before that in some of my own earlier attempts at videos on Nightfall Drives.
Happy to answer any questions and accommodate viewing requests from Tuesday onwards.
Many thanks for reading

Treating the surface rust is the one remaining job I'd be considering in the next few years if I were keeping the car. From what I can gather from the MX5 forums & the garages who have worked in the car, it is in line with a 15 year old NC. It is structurally sound & never been an issue at the MOT. I've not used the car much in winter, which is part of the reason I've not felt the need to do it yet. The upside to the buyer is the condition isn't hidden & they can decide how to approach it

Apologies for my ignorance but does the soft top operate electrically or do you have to raise/lower it by hand?

They're manual - very light and easy - doable with one hand if you're flexible.
