Hi Grant,
No history of any engine rebuild works. Being specialist owned and maintained gave me peace of mind in that regard.
Additionally, the early 996 cars didn't suffer from the same IMS failure and bore score issues which plagued cars produced from 2000 onwards.
The 1998/1999 cars were fitted with a dual row IMS bearing rather than the small single row bearings fitted from 2000 onwards, and iron piston coatings making bore score a non-issue.
